Saturday Evening, June 8
We were pleased when Jere and Kristen invited us to go Sight & Sound to see Noah.
We had seen the old version – about twenty years ago – but had not yet seen the 2013 showing.
We had never been so close to the stage. Our seat was in the 4th or 5th row.
I would have liked to take pictures during the show, but that is highly discouraged.
- When Noah was milking his cow and God called his name – eventually asking him to build an ark.
- When the animals began coming up the aisle and across the stage – two by two.
- When Act II began – and we were inside the ark.

Five days later, (Thursday, June 13) we took Jere and Kristen to Lily’s On Main for her birthday dinner.
She loved the table I reserved, because it overlooked the grade school she attended as a child. It’s the building with the reddish roof on the right.
After taking the earlier photos, the waiter asked if he could take a picture of all four of us
It was fun hearing some of Kristen’s childhood memories that her hometown brought back.
Jere, Kristen, and I got a small Lily’s Special Salad Baby greens, endive, pear, bleu cheese crumbles, pecans, sun-dried cranberries and pomegranate vinaigrette.
Cerwin got a regular garden salad.
Cerwin and Jere got Filet Mignon Three Ways
Three petite filets, chipotle ketchup, chimichurri and Worcestershire, sauces, truffled mac & cheese
Kristen and I ordered Lily’s Surf & Turf
Petite filet mignon, crab cake, mashed potatoes, tartar and Worcestershire sauces
My dessert included a delicious ball of something light and fluffy, a blob of whipped cream, and my favorite creme brulee. (Can you tell that I cannot find their online dessert menu?)
Jere was delighted with this layered citrus cake.
Cerwin and Kristen must have gotten the same dessert, because I have only one more photo of desserts.
It was a wonderful evening.
I love hanging out with them. They encourage my soul with their insight and wisdom.

Look what we found when we got to our car.
We saw Noah a couple of years ago when it was there. We’ve seen almost all of the Sight and Sound productions and each one seems to get better. I think my favorite was Abraham and Sarah at the small theater. It wasn’t elaborate but it touched me! Your birthday dinner looks so good and what a nice view from your table.
We enjoy Sight and Sound and think it is as good or better than any Broadway Show. We do enjoy the view at Lily’s.
