Going to Hear Nsimba Speak

Sunday Evening, October 16

When we learned that our soon-to-be-grandson-in-law was speaking at the Maine Ministry meeting at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren in York County, it didn’t take us long to decide to travel the one-hour-plus drive to hear him.

It was fun seeing the surprise on Nsimba’s face when he saw us. He did not know we were coming.dsc_8510He was introduced to the audience by Dennis Myer from Lewiston Church of the Brethren..

dsc_8511He told us a variety of interesting stories from his childhood in Africa, his decision to follow Christ, his journey to the United States – and eventually the Church of the Brethren in Lewiston, Maine.

dsc_8514Lots of people took time to ask him questions after the service.

The next time we see him, it will be his and Elizabeth’s wedding weekend in mid-November.

  1. Which African country is he from? He probably speaks several different languages. I think my mother was born in Lewiston, Maine. Quite a different climate than Africa.
