Being Pampered

Thursday, March 19, I took these for a girl’s night out.

They were the only ones who chose to do this for their 2015 birthday gift.

1Jana, Deb, Abby, Jenna at Fancy Fingers & Spa in Quarryville.

1a (1)Ah-h-h-h!

1a (2)Paraffin is so good for my dry, winter feet.

1a (3)Hot towels add to the delight.

1dThis young woman in yellow was delightful and fun.

1e (2)Happy feet

1e (3)After this we were treated to hot rocks on our legs and feet – another fabulous experience.

2 (1)Then we went across the room to have our hands and fingers pampered.

2 (3)We had lots of fun asking Jenna about wedding plans and seeing pictures of a wedding dress she likes.

2 (4)Our next stop was Café 24 Hundred a nice quiet restaurant which is part of Double Tree Resort in Willow Valley.

2 (5)Taking a selfie.

2 (6)I tried to get a picture of the pretty pond outside the window that was glistening in the evening sun, but the mini-blinds prevented it.

2 (7)Someone’s salad. I think it was Jenna’s.

2 (8)The other three chose steaks with a variety of sides.

2 (11) I don’t often order meatloaf, but was interested in the sides of grilled carrots and cheesy potatoes – and wasn’t disappointed.

2 (12)I know this is Abby’s lava cake, because she ordered 2 maraschino cherries. 🙂

2 (13)Jenna’s – without any cherries.

2 (14)Jana’s crème brulee

2 (15)Deb’s pumpkin crème brulee

2 (16)My vanilla ice cream.

When I got the bill, the waiter said he gave us a discount because we were a delightful group of ladies to serve – and because we prayed before we ate. (How nice was that.)

~~~
We had a most delightful evening, and Abby, Jenna, and Jana had lots of fun making fun of my driving. (Deb came from another direction and drove alone.)
I was either driving too slow, or couldn’t figure out how to get out of the parking lot of Café 24 Hundred in the dark. (I decided later that they could see the exit and road better than me because of the glare of my GPS. It would have been better if I turned it off after dark.)
Oh well, it’s a good thing I love being with our granddaughters – even when they make fun of me. 🙂
These are days that I will treasure when I am old and can no longer take them out. (Maybe they will take me out then.)
