Food, Pole Barn Auction & Chainsaw Artist ~ Brethren Disaster Relief Auction

Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27

1 (1)Warm Amish-made donuts are difficult to resist ~ and they sell lots of them.

1 (4)I was wishing that they would sell donut holes by the piece but they are placed in a container of 10 or 12. And I didn’t want and entire donut – just one donut hole.

1 (3)When I sat down at the heifer auction on Friday morning, and made sure I wasn’t blocking the view of the person behind me, he replied, “No, I am just trying to find someone who would like some donut holes.” He had a box of them and didn’t want to eat all of them. (I was pleased to take one off of his hands.) 🙂

It had been a good morning for me. One of the fire police recognized me from the TFC Truck Rally, and gave me a VIP parking spot.

There are days like that – a VIP parking spot and a free donut hole. I will receive every blessing I can get.

1 (7)One thing I can’t resist at this auction is the French fries. I had some for lunch.

1 (9)I bought an iced tea to go with the fries then went to my chair in the main auction and enjoyed both.

1 (8)Later in the day I came here for a milk shake for my supper.

1 (10)There are lots of food choices.

1 (13)I went by the food tent at suppertime to capture a few pictures.

Our friends Warren and Ada were getting their meal.

~~~Chainsaw Artist~~~
3 (2)This is the first time I saw Andrew at work.
3 (3)I never did see him working with his chainsaw. Each time I walked by he was touching up a piece he had just finished.
