I was walking through the garage when I looked outside and thought, “Wow, this could be a nasty storm”, and CRASH this branch landed right outside the entrance door where I was standing.

A small branch broke off and landed a short distance away.

Because I heard it hit the house, I was not surprised that it bent our spouting.

Our daughter-in-law Kristen came a short time later – delivering hot apple dumplings.

Sometimes good and bad things happen within minutes of each other. 🙂

These apple dumplings were so large that they were our dessert for three meals.
