Saturday morning, January 4

The outside glow drew me to the eastern windows of the Myers’ indoor porch.

This large icicle was glowing in the morning sun.

If you look closely, you can see the lines of the window screen between me and the icicle and the sun.

It was so beautiful outside that I was tempted to go for a walk on the dead-end road that goes by Mark and Diane’s house.

However, the temperature warned me to wait a few hours.

As noon approached, I decided that it was as warm as it was going to get – just above zero – and dressed for a one-mile walk.

Half an hour each way.

Much of this beauty would be gone by the next day as it was going to get warmer and rain.

If I was going to capture the beauty, now was the time.

There were icicles everywhere.

The swing I photographed on the day we arrived was now partially buried in snow.

My eyes could barely take in the beauty that surrounded me.

Come along with me – but make sure you bundle up first.

Apparently the train track has not been used for the past few days.

There are many dormant seeds in pods.

Waiting for warmer weather when winds, new growth, and rain will spread them to receptive sod.

There are many more pictures to post during the next few days.

I had the most delightful, breathtaking walk.
