As I went through the final pictures from the auction (September 27 & 28) I discovered I missed entering one that should have been with the main auction pictures on Saturday morning…

Opening devotions by Paul Brubaker – Pastor at Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, Lititz, Pennsylvania.

The quilt auction is a highlight of the two days and is given a prime time on Saturday morning – 10:00 a.m.

It even has its own book – featuring a cover photo of the highest selling quilt from the previous year.

 I took a variety of pictures of the crowd during the auction.

The ladies who folded the quilts and prepared them for the buyer.

I like the face painting on these Amish boys.

 I am not a quilter, but think it would be fun to learn this kind of stitching.

 A reversible table topper with a Christmas/winter design on one side and…

…and a country design on the other side.

   I tried to choose pictures of quilts and wall hangings that I didn’t feature last night.

 I am a black and white person, so I like this one.

Linked Chevrons – pieced – 96″ x 102″ – donated by Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren – quilted by the Atlantic Northeast District Women – sold for $1,050.00.

Indian Wedding Ring/Pickle Dish – pieced – 98″ x 106″ – donated by The Sister’s Aid of Upper Conewago Church of the Brethren – quilted by Emma Witmer. Sold for $1,100.

So ends my pictures of the 2013 Brethren Disaster Relief Auction at Lebanon Expo Center, Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

The Lebanon Daily News reported that the preliminary amount raised for disaster relief through this two-day auction was $368,000.00. Great job everyone!
