Bull Riding and Wild Pony Rides

This is a good visual of how valuable the clowns are to the bull riders.

Wild pony racing is a youth competition.

There are teams of three, and it appears that they all try to help a designated rider mount the pony.

Then it was time to herd the ponies into the stable.

That was surely a fun way to spend a vacation afternoon in Calgary.

We remember attending a rodeo in Flagstaff, Arizona, in the mid ’80s, and think this was only the second time we attended one in person.
