A Tea Affair

I took my sister – the only one I have – to A Tea Affair for lunch on Monday, June 17.

DSC_0454It’s a relaxing, delightful place in Lititz.

DSC_0460Did you know that Lititz, Pennsylvania, is America’s Coolest Small Town for 2013?

DSC_0455This dinner date was for Nancy’s sixtieth birthday.

DSC_0474   I was ten when she was born and she was ten when I got married.

DSC_0462Our dining experience began with tea. She chose a berry tea of some kind.

DSC_0479  I chose a stronger tea – the kind I enjoy.

DSC_0463Scones with jelly and lemon curd.

DSC_0466Lemon curd was my choice.

I like lemon curd even more than I like scones.

DSC_0468A refreshing salad.

DSC_0478Oh, this was fun!

There were all kinds of delicacies – tiny sandwiches and sweet things.

After we thought we were finished, the waitress brought us a small dish of three kinds of sorbet – a gift from the chef.

I was so surprised that I forgot to take a picture.

DSC_0461 I will go back there. Maybe for high tea.

This was a garden tea.
